New Business Specialist

Panagora Group, a woman-owned small business specializing in global health and international development, seeks a New Business Specialist for a full-time position in our home office in Silver Spring, Maryland. Candidates will have experience in business development with USAID. The specialist will support new business through proposal development; monitoring and tracking new opportunities; and developing and maintaining new business systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Tracking numerous new business opportunities on a regular basis, and helping analyze the USAID market
• Monitoring various outlets for information on new opportunities
• Conducting research in relation to specific opportunities, donors, and technical areas
• Monitoring USAID and other donor priorities and funding trends
• Attending and/or facilitating new business and partnering meetings
• Helping develop, maintain, and routinize new business and proposal development systems, tools and processes
• Maintaining all new business and proposal files
• Managing and maintaining Panagora’s recruitment systems
• Supporting proposal development in various roles as required, including but not limited to coordination, recruitment, teaming, content development, and cost proposal compilation
• Training staff in new business systems and procedures

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in public health, international development, or a relevant field preferred
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience required
• Familiarity with business development, including proposal development, for USAID contracts required
• Experience with integrated health, private sector health programming, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and/or knowledge management desired
• Demonstrated new business skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage complex projections, plan and prioritize multiple projects, and coordinate teams to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated self-starter with versatility, integrity, and ability juggle multiple assignments
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience living and working in a developing country strongly preferred
• Proficiency in one or more foreign languages preferred
