Strategic Information Expert – Zambia

Panagora Group, a woman-owned small business specializing in global health and international development, seeks a Strategic Information Expert for an anticipated USAID-funded learning and evaluation project in Zambia for the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) program. Applicants are required to have experience working with USAID. This is a full-time position located in Zambia.

Responsibilities of the Strategic Information Expert will include:

  • Oversight and quality control for all project data collection and research, including design and management
  • Design and management of focused scientific studies for experimental and operational research and cost-benefit analysis
  • Design, development, and implementation of the project’s learning agenda, including development of evaluation tools, data collection and management, and knowledge sharing
  • Contributing to and helping oversee the project’s collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA) activities
  • Rendering and presenting data and information for adaptive management, learning and advocacy
  • Supporting key partners in review of key indicators to enhance learning
  • Supporting documentation and dissemination of key indicators, learning and best practices



  • A master’s degree in strategic information-related areas preferred, including applied research, monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management, public health, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience preferred in CLA, knowledge management, and monitoring and evaluation
  • Progressive experience in providing technical expertise on learning and evaluation to host governments or the private sector
  • Prior experience with USAID projects, preferably in the public health, agricultural development and/or nutrition sector
  • Prior experience or familiarity with nutrition programming
  • Strong management and communication skills, including excellent writing ability in English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience working in Zambia strongly preferred
